AI-first · Spec-Driven Development

How I build with AI.

I start from the user's problem and follow Spec-Driven Development (SDD): the spec is the source of truth, and AI works from it at every step, with me reviewing every decision.

Understand the problem

Before thinking about the solution I look at it from the user's perspective: who they are, what problem they have and what success looks like for them.

Specification (SDD)

Requirements, acceptance criteria and contracts are written first as Markdown specs: one source of truth for people and AI.

Plan & design

The technical plan and architecture are generated from the spec with AI, then reviewed and adjusted before any code is written.

Tasks

The plan is broken into small, verifiable tasks, so every AI change is easy to review and roll back.

Implementation

AI agents implement task by task, with Copilot assisting in the editor; I stay in charge of design and code quality.

Testing

Tests come from the spec's acceptance criteria, so the AI proves the expected behavior instead of guessing it.

Review & delivery

AI-assisted code review plus human review, with docs and changelogs kept in sync with the spec through CI/CD.
